oceancalligraphy Posted March 7, 2015 at 09:58 PM Report Share Posted March 7, 2015 at 09:58 PM I think it's important to know which strokes go where in a character. When we describe how to write a character, we mention the stroke type in the order it is written. So for really simple example, 十, we would say a horizontal stroke and a vertical stroke. I am also seeing inconsistency in the strokes, so I would practice that as well. These worksheets start with stroke practice and then character practice. It's in traditional Chinese - but the strokes types are the same. There are 28 strokes covered in the first few practice sheets.
Shelley Posted March 7, 2015 at 11:01 PM Author Report Share Posted March 7, 2015 at 11:01 PM Thanks for the advice, what are the practice sheets that you mention? A few people have said I should learn the strokes, so I am going to do that.
