I have a Master of Arts degree, teaching experience with high school students and I will come with a TEFL certificate. Does anyone have any tips or ideas where in Beijing I could apply? These are some requirements you'll need to meet in Beijin for a legitimate job. Of course, you can find jobs still ... but generally if you tick those boxes it will be easier for you. As for a 6 month contract, many schools are reluctant. They have to pay for your visa/expert status processing so would prefer to get 12 months work out of you. Also, parents / students get pretty annoyed at changing teachers every 6 months. Why Beijing? You'd probably stand more chance finding a 6 month contract in a less popular area.
