Where can I watch the nightly news from China online?

Hello,

 

I would like to be able to watch the evening news from China on the internet. I can watch the news from Taiwan via this website:

And I can watch the News at Ten from the UK via the BBC iPlayer.

 

However I can't seem to find the official news from China online. I assume that I should be looking for something from CCTV.

 

I have tried this website here:

 

http://tv.cntv.cn/live/cctv13

 

But there seems to be a problems with the plug-in installing correctly on Firefox.

 

I would love a Youtube channel or a website similar to that offered by Taiwan's PTS. Can anyone offer any advice?

You need to IE for the CNTV site plug-in.

This website has been mentioned before on this forum (search function in the top right corner), it's not live but updated daily.

works fine for me with firefox/linux.

if you have an iOS device you can also download the CCTV official app http://cbox.cntv.cn/pad/index.shtml  Has both live and on demand shows, and i believe shows can even be downloaded (on the iPad app at least) for later viewing.
