j.k.j.D.D. Posted September 21, 2015 at 07:38 AM Report Share Posted September 21, 2015 at 07:38 AM I am currently on a visa that requires me to leave the country every 60 days. The first time I registered with the police, the registration "card" as it's titled, said it had 2 months validity. I came back again, and they registered me again for the apartment I am renting, but this time they gave me one with 10 years validity. Does this mean I do not need to register when I come back to my apartment, as long as I am still renting the same one?
vellocet Posted September 22, 2015 at 06:27 AM Report Share Posted September 22, 2015 at 06:27 AM The law says every time. PS they're going to figure out sooner or later that you're living and working on a tourist visa. Do yourself a favor and move to a real visa ASAP.
abcdefg Posted September 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM Report Share Posted September 22, 2015 at 10:00 AM Every time I return after being out of the country, I go to the 派出所 and give them a copy of the new entry stamp. Regulations or their enforcement can vary from place to place. (I'm in Kunming.)
j.k.j.D.D. Posted September 23, 2015 at 07:16 AM Author Report Share Posted September 23, 2015 at 07:16 AM Vellocet, I am not working in China. Just living here, so I am not breaking any laws doing so. I believe you are on a tourist visa now as well.
