Just because it's a word, doesn't mean tone sandhi doesn't apply, see for example the ABC dictionary listing for 你好. Note however, that dictionaries *do not* indicate tone sandhi in their pinyin, as per the rules for Pinyin, which say that pinyin should not change to indicate tone sandhi. 2 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
