Whenever I go to karaoke, there are always songs everyone knows, all of the classics. I ｒｅａｌｌｙ ｗａｎｔ ｔｏ ｓｔａｒｔ ａ ｃｏｍｐｉｌａｔｉｏｎ ｏｆ ａｌｌ ｔｈｅｓｅ songs. I'm not really looking for current music, I want to find old classics, 70's, 80's and 90's classic songs. I don't know all that much about Chinese music, I usually listen to 王菲， 阿牛， Ｔｅｒｅｓａ Ｔｅｎｇ， ａ－ｍｅｉ and have been getting into 许巍 ｌａｔｅｌｙ, as well as some other songs, whose artists I don't know the names of． So if anyone could help me out just by listing a few of the songs that EVERYONE knows, from any period I would very much appreciate it. Songs compiled by 王洛賓 are also very popular (they are used as ring tones). They include 康定情歌, 在那遙遠的地方, 達阪城的姑娘, 掀起你的蓋頭來, etc. Everyone knows these melodies. niubi Posted December 14, 2003 at 10:39 AM Report Share Posted December 14, 2003 at 10:39 AM you might be able to find this box set of 10 cds of 70 years of hits on EMI:30's - 90's EMI Millennium Best Collection. if not, i think you can still get the 2 disc sets of the 1930-50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. its a good intro to chinese pop music from the 30s-90s.
