How do you express the 5-second rule in Chinese?

In America, if you drop food on the floor, it's technically not dirty for 5 seconds.

it's called the 5-second rule.

.... in China, they say .. 吃了沒病 ... when food falls on the floor

does Chinese also have the 5-second rule?

wow~~ , Before I read your thread, I didn't know the 5-second rule for dropped food. There's an equivalent expression in my hometown--- 不干不净,吃了没病. hehe...

Maybe they have know the technical theory potentially?

Where did you hear that? I don't know of any such "rule".

It's not even a rule and is sometimes 3 seconds instead of 5. I don't know if it exists outside of the US, I learned it growing up in the US from other students (though I never adopted it, thank goodness).
