I'm at Mandarin Chinese course now and we have to write a letter for our homework. This is a very short course and now we have studied only 5 days. I tried to find new words from dictionary, but I'm not sure are they the right words and is my word structure right.

Thank you very much if you got the time to tell me if this makes any sense:

(From this computer I can't write characters or correct pinyin)

Ni3 hao3!

Wo3 hen3 gao1xing4!

Wo3 de zheng1tu2 zai4 Zhong1guo2 guai4 you3 yi4si.

Wo3 Bei3jing1 qu4 le.

Bei3jing1 de fan4guan3 de fan4 zhen1 hao3chi1!

Bei3jing1ren2 hen3 qin1qie4

Wo3 mai3 fu2, juan4 he2 yi2 ge5 yin1li4.

Zai4 guang3chang3 wo3 may3 shui3guo3.

Zheng1tu2 hen3 shan4 le!

This is what I'm trying to say:

Hello.

I'm very happy.

My trip to China was very interesting.

I visit Beijing.

Food was very good in Beijin's restaurants.

Beijing people (what are they? I don't know the correct word in English) were very friendly.

I bought clothes, books and one mooncalendar.

Trip was very succesful.

Wo3 de zheng1tu2 zai4 Zhong1guo2 guai4 you3 yi4si.

Wo3 zai4 zhong1 guo2 de lü3 you2 hen3 you3 yi4 si. 我在中国的旅游很有意思.

Wo3 Bei3jing1 qu4 le.

Bei3jing1 de fan4guan3 de fan4 zhen1 hao3chi1!

Bei3jing1 fan4guan3 li3 de fan4cai4 zhen1 hao3 chi1! 北京饭馆里的饭菜真好吃!

(The original sentence is also correct, just too many "de" and read uncomfortably)

Bei3jing1ren2 hen3 qin1qie4.

(Or may be you want to say:"Lü3 you2 hen3 shun4 li4! 旅游很顺利" ? )

Even better. If you find yourself on a computer that you cannot download and load Word Macros you can use an on-line Chinese typing tool. One such tool can be found at:

http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php?page=worddictbasic

You will find the link, "打字 Type Chinese" at the top of the screen, it works the same as the macro, enter pinyin - get characters.
