In that case, you need to re-shoot your photo using lighting from the side, which brings out the carving. Light the shot straight on and the carvings are washed out and difficult to read. In the photo I have tried to make it more visible with talc. I have tried a lot to get a good picture, but there is also the problem with the reflections on the surface, which does not make things easier. I will continue to try to get a better photo though...
