I just ordered two books from Amazon on reading and writing Chinese Characters. Currently fluent in English and German. I have been doing a lot of background reading lately on Chinese, pinyin, etc. It seems like such a challenge and thats part of the reason I took it up all of a sudden.....plus I really think its interesting. I have set a goal of recognizing atleast 1000 symbols by next summer (July 06). Anyway....I wanted to start off with a Chinese name. I think having a Chinese name can allow me to stay motivated throughout my learning since it will be unique and I could be proud of it....plus understanding what it means. If you guys can help I would greatly appreciate it! Oh and i know you would need some background information and what I do, etc.....Tell me what you need and I will respond back. Thanks in advance!
