Guest Posted April 29, 2019 at 03:42 AM Report Share Posted April 29, 2019 at 03:42 AM Hi, I'm studying a short course of chinese language in BLCU. I have rented a house near liudaokou for one year, so I wanted to keep studying here, but from the next semester they'll not accept chinese citizen anymore, so I'm looking for another university that has chinese language course available for chinese citizen. Anyone can suggest me one? Tsinghua, peking university, renmin and foreign studies don't accept chinese citizen too.
roddy Posted April 29, 2019 at 06:12 AM Report Share Posted April 29, 2019 at 06:12 AM Do you have any other nationalities? Possibly (and I'm guessing) universities like Minda and those in areas like Xinjiang, Yunnan, might be more used to students with Chinese ID cards but needing to improve Chinese language skills. Sadly China doesn't allow double nationality, so I have only chinese citizenship Is there no option than going outside of Beijing? I still have half year of contract for my apartment after this semester ends
edelweis Posted April 29, 2019 at 06:36 PM Report Share Posted April 29, 2019 at 06:36 PM Does it need to be a university? A few years ago we had active threads about a private school in Wudaokou called Global Village 地球村 that offered reasonably priced group classes. You can find those threads through a forum search. Global Village seems to have a new website in English now, instead of the old Korean-only website. Schedule of classes: http://www.gvschinese.com/schedule Pricing and course description: http://www.gvschinese.com/course/view_59.html Address and contact information at the bottom of each page. Edit: also Minda proposed by Roddy seems to be in Beijing too. http://www.muc.edu.cn/

I prefer going to a university, but if there is no another way than going to a private school, I'll take a private course. About Minda, I'll check if they accept chinese. I found that beihang accept chinese citizenship, but is an aeronautical university. Anyone know how is their chinese course? At least is very close to wudaokou/liudaokou and is cheaper than blcu. Edit: Beihang said that they cannot accept chinese citizenship too..? Edited May 5, 2019 at 03:30 AM by Guest Add Information
Guest Posted May 7, 2019 at 03:45 PM Report Share Posted May 7, 2019 at 03:45 PM Update. Well, they told me that is a rule from Beijing... so no university is going to accept me. (Asked Minda, but they don't accept chinese citizenship too) Someone told me that I can enroll at Beijing Language and Culture College (BLCC). Anyone know this college? it's not near wudaokou, but looks cheap (9800 yuan per semester) and good at teaching. I'm looking for a private school (best if near wudaokou/liudaokou) too. For now I'm considering Global village and BLCC.
