Denise Posted September 12, 2005 at 03:08 PM Report Share Posted September 12, 2005 at 03:08 PM I'm an independent filmmaker coming to Beijing on Sept. 20th for a week or so (and then heading into Central China) and I would like to know if there's anyone in Beijing who might be able to act as an interpreter--even for a little while. The problem is, I have zero knowledge of Mandarin, but want to be able to ask people questions. Ideally, I want to find (with the interpreter's help) someone who would be willing to let me shadow them for a day or two. I was thinking of going to a university, to find a student studying English--they may want to hang out with me for while just to practice their English. Or maybe there are English conversation groups that meet in Beijing...? THAT would be awesome. You can email me at denise_kri@yahoo.com. Any help would be appreciated!
