Cantonese in Los Angeles

Hey yall, where's/what's a good place to learn cantonese in the los angeles area, for adults? I I'm not in a rush, so I don't need any crash courses or anything. My eventual goal is to be fully fluent - reading books, newspapers, and understanding music and movies. I think I'm a pretty good linguist, so I won't have a problem with pronunciation or intonations.

However, I'm not sure what method of learning I prefer, but I think something systematic might be best for me. Akin to learning each level of cantonese the same way the kids do, but at a faster pace than them.

I looked into pimsleur, but I don't like the haphazard structure, nor the price.

Suggestions greatly appreciated! TIA

Hmm, have you heard of “Linguaphone”? I know that it has some systematic course on Cantonese for beginners, which you might be interested.

The web site of Linguaphone is www.linguaphone.co.uk. Of course, if possible, please dial its local contact number in your area for more details at first.

Thanks!
