HELP! Typing extended Chinese punctuation marks

Recommended Posts

I use Microsoft Pinyin IME on Windows 10. I know there is some kind of keyboard shortcut which brings up an extended menu of punctuation marks, but I can't find it anywhere. I've used it before and I can't for the life of me remember what it is.

I need it so I can type 「  」

Type "uubd" ("uu" prefix gives access to various utilities, "bd" stands for 标点). That gives you a list of punctuation symbols that you can choose from, the same way you choose between characters/words normally — numbers, arrow keys, page up/page down.

Thanks! By the way, how can I do this on macOS?

Depends on your IME, but assuming default macOS one, I guess this is how?

如何在 macOS 上精准输入左引号和右引号 | 一日一技

Quote
  • 左弯双引号 Option-[
  • 右弯双引号 Option-Shift-[
  • 左弯单引号 Option-]
  • 右弯单引号 Option-Shift-]
  • 左直角引号 :中文输入法,Shift-[
  • 右直角引号 :中文输入法,Shift-]

Can't test it as I don't have a mac.
