My mom saw a movie on a flight years ago and has tried to find this movie since then: movie was not in English, she was reading subtitles but she isn’t sure the original language female lead was blind. Her parents and her were working with a matchmaking service she was in the rain, and a stranger offered her an umbrella and there was a connection later she went on a date with him via the matchmaker service but her parents didn't approve eventually her dad gave in after the man proved his interest and dedication to wooing her (something about him getting hurt, or her getting hurt?)
