Is this sentence correct ? 她是用很普通的方式學. And this one : 就是用特別的方法。

I'd use instead : 使用. 她使用很普通的方式學.

The first sentence is correct as it stands; the 是 serves to highlight that what follows is perhaps counter to expectations, or at any rate underlines the statement. The 就是 works similarly to the dated "to whit" in English. If you change it as you suggest, it alters the emphasis and shifts the overall meaning somewhat.

But I think you don't understand that every single character can be a word. 是用 = 是使用。就是用 = 就是使用。

To put it simple, it's similar to put an additional auxiliary verb "do" to emphasize.

她是用很普通的方法学 = She did use a very ordinary method to learn.

就是用特别的方法学 = (sb.) just did use a extraordinary method to learn.

I don't know how you feel but the difference between 使用 and 是用 is quite obvious for native speaker.

'用' means '使用'. ‘用' is a Chinese character. It is also a word that means '使用'.

 

The tone of "shì" (是) is the fourth tone. The tone of "shǐ" (使) is the third tone. He said '她是用很普通的方法学习。' in the audio.

Two sentences can mean the same thing but have subtle differences.

"是用" emphasizes "普通的方式"

"使用" emphasizes the action, i.e., the act of "她用普通的方式学".
