Apartment to rent in downtown Beijing, co-renting possible

BEDROOMS: Three. Bathrooms: Two. Corridor: One. Balcony: Three. Kitchen: One. Total Space: 140 Square Meters.

LANDLORD: Believe it or not, too many agents claim themselves to be landlords nowadays. I am, however, INDEED the true landlord. Working as an editor for a Party newspaper, I had a Ph. D in international relations and can speak fluent English and awkward Deutsch.

LOCATION: The apartment lies right on the roadside of the Third East Ring Street in the strict-sense downtown area, 900 meters away from the CBD (Central Business District), the ‘Manhattan of Beijing’, and quite close to the heart of Beijing, Tian’anmen Gate of the Forbidden City.

(NOTE: There are now 6 ring streets in Beijing, with the Forbidden City as the First Ring. Areas within the Fourth Ring are generally considered as the downtown area, while the area between the 4th and 6th Rings is non-downtown urban area, and beyond the 6th Ring lie the suburbs.)

METRO / SUBWAY a Stone’s Throw away: 100 meters. Right below the apartment lies the Shuangjing outlet of the Olympic Metro Line (or LINE 10), to be opened in 2006. On the Beijing Metro Plan at http://house.focus.cn/photoshow/1295/926354.html , you’ll find the pink Shuangjing Station is just one stop south of the International Trade Center Twin Towers (Guomao Station), landmark of Beijing CBD, and five stops away from the heart of Beijing, Tian’anmen Gate of the Forbidden City.

Transportations: Walking distance to Metro outlet: one minute. Walking distance to the CBD: 10-15 Minutes. Bus lines: 21 bus lines altogether to every direction in Beijing (See http://house.focus.cn/photoshow/1295/1346833.html )

Two Hypermarkets: Carrefour (France) and Century Mart(Shanghai): The Carrefour Shuangjing Branch is the largest in Beijing and in Asia, within five minutes of walk from the apartment. Century Mart lies just opposite to the apartment across the Third Ring Street, and is also open from 8:30am to 10pm. The British retailer B&Q is in the same building with Carrefour, i.e., 500 meters away from the apartment. REQUIREMENTS: Since I am going to a German-speaking area for post-doctoral research next year, I hope this apartment can be rented by someone who would stay in Beijing for a longer period, who is not disturbance-causing for my neighbors, and who has a good credit. I do not mind co-renters. Right now this apartment is under decoration. If truly interested in renting the apartment, you may also tell me your preferences for decorating the apartment, before it is too late.
