In Mainland, he had been immensely popular. it was said that 有井水處有金庸，有村鎮處有高陽. (Wherever there is well water, there must be books written by Jin Yong that somebody is reading. Wherever there is a village, that must be books written by Gao Yang that someone is reading.) I love to read history. But somehow the novels of 高陽 are not my cup of tea. I bought dozen of his novels.
