Cantonese learners: listening practise

wai ming

Recommended Posts

I posted this thread at Adam Sheik's Learn Cantonese site.

Basically it involves collaborating to produce romanised and character transcripts of an episode of Australia's SBS Radio Cantonese Program. The idea being for learners of Cantonese to get practise listening to the sounds of Cantonese, and learn more vocabulary and grammatical structures, by listening to children's stories

If you feel like your Cantonese isn't good enough to contribute yet, please don't despair; but at least let me know you're interested so I know someone other than myself can benefit from the transcripts. (In other words, so the project doesn't end up on my "never got around to doing" list.)

It would be great if we could get some more interest :)

Carlo, thanks for the support.

Onebir, I did know about that project, but I didn't realise so much had been uploaded already. Thanks.

For anyone who's interested, we've started transcribing this episode, and you can track our progress here. And please feel free to contribute (whether it be transcribing, correcting our mistakes, asking questions, answering questions...) :)
