I read that something like 6m people in China use this to surf blocked websites. Is this true I wonder? I'm having a lot of trouble viewing websites I want - even going through the proxies doesn't work too well, especially on member sites that I would like to post on forums etc. Anyone got a tried and tested method? I never heard about such function, and that's obviously impossible, the ISPs filter the website on hardware layer, at the moment, Socket 5 proxy is the most efficient way. It has nothing to do with getting around the blocking. Google "tor" or "torpark" for software that will allow you get around the firewall. Maxthon isn't even an alternative to Internet Explorer. It is just a different front. It uses IE for most of its functionality. In fact, Wikipedia cyclopedia is not available in China But this is!
