中文新手 Posted July 5, 2006 at 04:11 PM Report Share Posted July 5, 2006 at 04:11 PM Hi. I live in a small Arizona town that sits on the border with Mexico. It's called Bisbee. I've looked at a few ways to write the town's name in Chinese and so far, this is about the closest I've come. Of course it's a phonetic translation. I would appreciate any feedback from other readers if this sounds close enough or perhaps a suggestion for another way to write it. Thanks. 毕兹柏= Bisbee

roddy Posted July 5, 2006 at 04:42 PM Report Share Posted July 5, 2006 at 04:42 PM If you're looking for something like this, best thing to do is take the English word you do know, and add in a Chinese word you know that is related - I used 美国 - and if you are lucky you'll turn up a bilingual page with both on. 889 Posted July 5, 2006 at 06:51 PM Report Share Posted July 5, 2006 at 06:51 PM Or simply go to Advanced Google and search Bisbee Arizona only on Chinese pages. Note that Taiwan/HK and Mainland names for Western places are often different.
