peter_5467 Posted July 22, 2006 at 02:08 AM Report Share Posted July 22, 2006 at 02:08 AM Did the visa policy change recently to allow 90 days for an L visa? I just picked up a double entry travel visa from the New York consulate and noticed it says I am allowed to stay in the country for 90 days. This is the first time I've seen more than 30 days for L visas.
Sunlight Posted July 22, 2006 at 12:39 PM Report Share Posted July 22, 2006 at 12:39 PM Sure, I got mine for 1 year multiple entries 90 days per stay. It is expiring this month and my friend only managed to renew hers for only 60 days per stay.
mrtoga Posted July 24, 2006 at 02:06 AM Report Share Posted July 24, 2006 at 02:06 AM Yes you can get them but the decision as to whether to award these 90-day visas is rather arbitrary. In some embassies / consulates they issue them if you are studying a six-week summer / winter Chinese course and have a Notification of Enrolment from the university. In others they won't. Really depends on the location of your consulate and the person who takes charge of your particular application.
