Try 兄肥弟瘦 ( it's an idiom meaning "profound fraternal love")

Sorry, but 兄肥弟瘦 is seldom used in daily life and might cause misunderstanding, too. (呵呵,不过HarshiriKata 的书是读不少的了,连这么个冷僻的成语都挖出来了。)

How about then translating "brother sister hood" in chinese for a tattoo?

We usually say "兄弟同心,其利断金" to express a close fratemal tie. How about take 兄弟同心 as a tattoo?

Cheers!

studentyoung is right. For those who may wonder what the phrase really means, here's the story I found on the internet:

《后汉书·赵孝传》:天下大乱时,人相食。赵孝的弟弟被饥饿的盗贼抓住备食用。赵孝闻之自缚后对贼说:我弟弟挨饿已久,太瘦,不如我肥,你吃我吧。”贼闻此言大惊失色,赶忙将赵孝的弟弟放掉了。

兄弟 姐妹 帽子

Well, since we like to be so anal (and sarcastic) lets make the last one 连帽子

(哇哈哈哇哈哈哇哈哈哇哈哈哇哈哈哇哈哈~don't include the sinister laugh though)

or you could just get 兄 on one shoulder and 弟 on the other like I said before....That seems short and sweet to me....
