But I think that Wong's style is quite bold and unconstrained and is much closer to 苏东波, just like 苏's famous words“大江东去，浪淘尽，千古风流人物。”. But Lin's style is gentle and graceful and is much closer to 柳永, just like 柳's famous words “今宵酒醒何处，杨柳岸，晓风残月。”. Please take it easy, it is just my private opinion.(谢谢你对这首歌的赞扬！我也喜欢黄霑的词。但我认为黄的词风格豪放不羁，更接近苏东坡，就像苏的名句“大江东去，浪淘尽，千古风流人物。”； 但林的风格温柔婉约，更贴近柳永，就像柳的名句“今宵酒醒何处，杨柳岸，晓风残月。”。请勿介意，这仅仅是我个人的看法。) Thanks again for your kind words on this song! I've tried the link by skylee and also downloaded a few from baidu but they're all in Cantonese, which I don't understand. Also, does 故人 just mean "old friend" in Chinese? I'm curious because I had the impression that it might mean more than just "old friend" (if you think that this impression is just too romantic, please excuse me ). I am not sure if there is a mandarin version (why? you don't like it in CANTONESE? ). The words sung are exactly the same as in the lyrics provided by studentyoung, but with different pronunciations.
