songlei Posted July 21, 2009 at 09:30 PM Author Report Share Posted July 21, 2009 at 09:30 PM @ renzhe well doomsday is coming in about a month! in a little over thirty days i will be shipped off to that snake pit we call beijing just to be torn apart by those erhuayin type cats who can just smell i don't know the word for three-stage booster rocket in chinese and then humiliate me for it. no thanks, i'll just stick with my militaristic study method ;) but in all seriousness, you all seem to think i gave up on all earthly pleasures in order to learn chinese but that's not true. the stuff in my first post about alienating family and all was just rhetoric. besides, the hours that i do make learning chinese aren't totally devoid of fun either. i really enjoying finding my way own through the language. i completely appreciate the merits of a sustainable study method (i.e. a method that doesn't burn you out because it's too demanding) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
