呆(dāi) and 待 (dāi) both meaning "to stay"

It looks like 呆 is used less often to mean 待 in Taiwan. From search results, it looks like 待 is about four times as common. It's hard to tell which sense people are using 呆 in. For example, written as「呆」在家好, it's easy to see that the person means "staying at home doing nothing", not just "staying at home", but if the quotes aren't included, it's not so clear.

If you look at the Taiwan's MOE dictionary, the 待 sense of is not listed.
