Chinese medicine that tastes good: 冰糖蒸雪梨

Stopped by the fruit bin at the corner grocery store a couple days ago and decided to buy some pears to steam. Snapped this picture with my phone since it showed the names of some common varieties along with the retail price.

Looked them up in Baidu. Here's a rundown on where they are grown, where they originated and so on. Unfortunately, no English translations. Thought it was interesting that none were actually "pear shaped" with large round bases and slim tops.
