Attached are some hand-written notes from work that I've been working on transcribing. This example is particularly tough. I invite anyone on the forums to give it a shot. I work at a radio station, if that helps. These are really not difficult (although it is more difficult for outsiders who don't know the jargons etc) compared to my boss' handwriting (very often even the two secretaries who serve her can't read what she has written, English or Chinese). b. When using pinyin input method, users really need to proofread (re 沈晴 / 僑報). c. I think I will stop here and let the others have fun. Perhaps it might be wise to at least mask such information? Good question! I have done my best to hide the identity of our station by cutting off the header from the notes. In the future I will be more diligent about masking the price information. Still, there is relatively little of use here, and there are no other competing radio stations in our area. I should probably go back and remove the old notes though... Okay, I made a more censored version and attached it now. a. So, I decided to remove the PDF until I could censor it properly (i.e. removing things like price information and anything that would reveal which company I work for). I'll try to get it back up today. It's back up now, enjoy! @xiaocai: 這個問題非常好！ The writing is indeed a mixture of simplified and traditional Chinese, and sometimes even simplifications that do not exist. For example, the note-taker simplifies 開 to 门 ＋ 开 instead of just 开. This is because I work in an overseas environment with a mixture Chinese immigrants from the mainland, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Usually the people from Hong Kong are in accounting or finance though, which is not my department. Traditional Chinese is the official "standard" since the company is owned by Taiwanese people, but the Taiwanese people definitely appreciate the use of simplified Chinese for note-taking purposes. However, as is evident from the example above, they don't always know what the proper simplification for each character is.
