I just contacted them both, my recommending institute said as far as they know they don't receive anything else regarding the scholarship and it should be the university (who haven't replied yet) who get in touch. hbwoodburn Posted June 25, 2015 at 05:51 PM Report Share Posted June 25, 2015 at 05:51 PM So, I had posted a week ago about my status having issues. 申请进度：“推荐机构择优确认中” I emailed the Hanban email (support service email on the app login screen), and they told me my status; turns out my CI forgot to get everything to Hanban last month. My CI was very embarrassed, promptly processed my stuff online (after which my status turned to 申请进度：已确认), and then about a week later I was accepted by my university. SO for anyone with issues, make sure to email everybody and keep trying; there is still time to get the scholarship if you make the right calls. Good luck!! Do you want to try and contact the university yourself and find out that way? So i emailed Hanban and they said: 您好。 “推荐机构择优确认中”是指您的推荐机构没有审核通过您的材料，请尽快与推荐机构联系，确定是否是申请材料有误，谢谢。 I'm wondering what people advise my next step should be? I'm thinking of contacting my two preferred universities directly? Although from what Hanban seem to be saying, it is an issue with the Confucius Institute that recommended me. I contacted Hanban by writing an email in Chinese (they don't reply emails in English). When I received their answer, I sent them to my CI and they finally understood how to submit our applications...
