I’m not sure if it can also apply to the male lover of a married female.

Hm, I only know 小白脸, the male lover a 小三 takes for when her main man is with his main woman. Not sure if that word also works for a married woman, there's probably a specific word for that.

I've heard this as 密集恐惧症 before, first time I've seen the abbreviated version though.

I encountered the abbreviated form in two articles (same 公众号 but different authors):

I'd like to report that my submission for “密恐” has already been accepted into CE-CEDICT. All of my submissions from this thread have been accepted within 24 hours except for “兽迷”, which the editors seem to be ignoring.

Yeah, they're very proactive about accepting most submissions, but others linger around for months on end. Maybe adding more citations might help?

Just been to see someone off at the airport (Daxing for the first time) and it seems the word for check-in is now 值机, not sure when that became common. Last time I flew myself is nearly two years ago and don't recall it being used then. Seems it's being used for hotels too: https://baike.baidu.com/item/值机/10127128

Wondered if it just meant doing it using the new machines but it seems not.

鳳凰樓

It's a property market term for the most desirable floor in a residential tower.

Now which floor would that be?

Spoiler

The second from the top, since the top floor often comes with problems.

(The use of 楼 to refer to both a building and a floor within a building --五号楼 and 五楼 are not the same -- is one of the more confusing bits of everyday Chinese.)
