Once they have checked it and found no problems it should change to 已确认. That's the stage mine is currently at. I've applied to Chongqing University which I imagine is one of the less popular choices compared to the more famous big cities like Beijing, Shanghai or Nanjing, so hoping there is less competition for places. Considering there aren't any problems with my application, my credentials are all in order and so on, how likely am I to be rejected? And on what basis are people usually rejected? Browsing the thread from previous years it seems mistakes in the application process are the number one reason. Are there any cases of people getting to the 已确认 stage and then being rejected anyway? I'm really stressed about getting this, I'm currently working in Chongqing as an English teacher and my partner, also an English teacher, has just accepted a job at Chongqing University so we can be in the same place. And the status itself seems to be good news: I would understand that it means that the uni of your choice has accepted you, althouth more experienced/advanced forum users can confirm if I am right. I am still just curious whether the increasing scholarship money has an influence on the final hanban decision in any kind of way. On the other hand though, the confucius institutes still do not have the best reputation after all, so they might have to spent more money. Good luck to the other guys whose status didnt change yet! But there was a problem on the level of our Confucius Institute in Poland and some of us had to resubmit applications (second name was missing) AFTER the 10th May. I did it on 11th May. I have '已确认' since then. I'm getting worried as tomorrow is uni's deadline, right? Do you think writing and email directly to Sichuan is a good idea? Just to remind them that I exist? . Getting really anxious now, I e-mailed the university and said that I saw some people have already got 录取 and I'm still 已确认, and told them (in Chinese of course) that I'm determined to become a Chinese teacher and if they have any doubts about my suitability maybe we can discuss it. Don't know if that will annoy them by being too pushy, or will show them that I'm serious about it. What do you guys think? Once it changes to 录取 does it essentially mean it's close enough to a sure thing? I have to give 2 months notice to quit my job and I'd like to have a few weeks before where I can do some studying, prepare to move, sort out visas and so on. I was told, while gathering information about the kind of people that got to go in the previous years, that the people who got a stipend and resigned were pretty much flat out rejected, no matter the reason.
